New Year’s Resolutions

Sharing is caring!

Christmas is only a few days away…the new year is coming. This is a time for family and fellowship and remembering why we celebrate. It’s also a time when many people begin to make promises and resolutions. For me, it’s a time for a new project.

There are so many people that I’ve met through my life…each with a story and I want to begin this year by honoring some from here in Louisville with a new series called The People In The Ville. The first person that I want to highlight is a woman, who I’m lucky to call my friend. This series will begin in January, so stay tuned for more about that.

As you make your resolutions for the upcoming year, remember that very few people are able to keep them (less than 8% according to some studies). Maybe you want to lose weight or begin a workout routine, or maybe you want to pursue a new job. Whatever it is, keep in mind that keeping the idea simple and easy to reach is more likely to lead to success. Create a game plan…a simple way that you can achieve your goal and then commit to it. Some say that if you start the habit before the end of the year you will be more likely to stay with it.

Eating better or working out/losing weight is always at the top of the most popular resolutions.
That’s why experts always recommend getting some protein. Remember the old saying “fitness begins in the kitchen”. There is no workout in the world that can overcome repeated overindulgence. If you do slip up, get back into the routine as soon as you can, and don’t worry about it. Everyone has a bad moment or a bad day, the difference between quitting and winning is that the winners keep going.

I wish you the best in the New Year and a very Merry Christmas!
