Well, so many of you have emailed me questions about Sandestin. Yes, it is a real place and I have been there many times. For those of you who have not been there, it is worth the trip. Not only can you enjoy the famous sugar coastline of Florida; but you also get to experience a beautiful resort with a large list of amenities to suit anyone. All of the characters in the book are fictional and are not meant to represent anyone in particular. I did incorporate facts from time to time, such as the development of Kiawah Island and the invention of the iPhone. The description of Charlottesville, Virginia, and the outdoor mall, as well as the hiking trail, are all accurate, as I used to live there. Both Charleston and Charlottesville are towns you should visit if you have never done so.
